Getting ready for your photo session doesn’t have to be stressful — in fact, it should be fun! Here are a few simple tips to help you feel relaxed, confident, and ready to enjoy the experience:
1. Pick outfits that feel like you
Choose clothes you feel good in — comfortable, flattering, and true to your style. Neutrals, soft colors, and subtle patterns photograph beautifully. And don’t be afraid to add texture with layers or accessories!

2. Arrive a few minutes early
Give yourself a little buffer time so you’re not rushing. A few minutes to breathe, fix any flyaways, and settle in can make a big difference.
3. Bring the little things
Snacks for the kids, a brush or makeup touch-up, maybe a blanket or towel if we’re shooting in a field or near water — little things like this can help the session run smoothly.
4. Let go of perfection
The best photos often come from the in-between moments — laughter, movement, connection. Don’t worry about having it all “just right.” Be present, and trust that I’ve got you!
